Several clinical studies have suggested that exogenous administration of essential polyunsatured fatty acids (PUFA) can reduce the level of inflammation commonly associated with renal transplantation. Aim of the present study was to evaluate the effects of a diet naturally rich in n-3 PUFA on some metabolic parameters and inflammation markers in renal transplant recipients (TxR).
